Primary School for Dogs

This course allows you to progress with your puppy’s training. As with all of our classes, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable for you and your puppy, but serious training starts here. You and your dog have learnt useful basic commands at the playgroup or preschool. In this class, you learn how to get reliable response at all times. We will also introduce additional commands to give you more control. This is a 5 weeks course usually taking place on the Tuesday at 11.10am. It will also occasionally run on the Monday morning so contact us to find out when the next course is running.

Who is it for?
This class is suitable for puppies and young dogs who have attended our puppy playgroup or preschool. You may also be able to join if you have done one to one training with us or attended another puppy class.

What happens at the class?
Each class lasts one hour. The last 10 to 15 minutes are informal. The owners can have a cup of tea and ask questions while the dogs have a rest or play together under supervision.
By the end of the course, your dog should understand the following commands: Sit, Down, Come, Leave, Stay and more. Leadwork is also a big focus of this course as everybody enjoys taking out a dog who behaves nicely on the lead.

How much does it cost?
It is £50 for the whole course. Tea and coffee is provided at no extra charge.

Do I need to book?
Yes, only dogs registered for the course will be accepted. To register for the next course, please contact us and we will send you all the necessary information including the booking form.
